+++++Welcome to WOODBRIDGE ORTHOTICS LABORATORY. Our core business is the fabrication of custom (prescription) foot orthotics, serving the needs of Podiatrists, Orthopedists and other Foot Care Specialists who dispense orthotic devices.
+++++WOODBRIDGE ORTHOTICS LABORATORY is an Accredited Facility by the College of Pedorthics of Canada, and is a member of the PRESCRIPTION FOOT ORTHOTIC LABORATORY ASSOCIATION (PFOLA) and PEDORTHIC ASSOCIATION OF CANADA (PAC). We offer a complete line of functional, accommodative, dress and sport orthotics, as well as specialty products such as diabetic orthotics and paediatric rotational devices. These are custom-made devices specifically crafted to meet the needs of the individual. This is done from a cast impression of the individual's foot and a prescription for recommended modifications.
+++++Having worked directly with patients, we understand the problems and pitfalls that can plague successful orthotic outcomes, and therefore, can help dispensing professionals overcome these potential roadblocks. Certified Pedorthist of Canada Scott Harvie – C Ped (C) – is on staff. Scott Harvie has over 20 years of orthotic experience, both as a clinician and technician, and has been involved in the design and fabrication of thousands of orthotics. He is available to assist with any issues you may have.

Orthotics Line

– lightweight polyethylene shell designed with narrow grind, shallow heel cup and intrinsic heel stabilization provides moderate biomechanical control when low heel bulk is required. Black naugahyde top cover and durasole bottom cover is standard. Lifetime warranty against shell breakage. Patient Indications: forefoot and rearfoot pathologies, including pressure metatarsalgia, plantar fasciitis, heel pain, bunions.

– lightweight and flexible polyethylene shell with total p-cell plantar fill and pink p-cell top cover. Providing passive biomechanical support to the toes. Designed for the at-risk foot, may help to prevent lesions or ulcerations and promote healing and relief in at-risk areas. Also recommended for patients experiencing loss of plantar fat pad. Patient indications: peripheral neuropathy, ischemia, plantar ulcerations, infections, osteoarthritis.

– semiflexible polyethylene shell which varies in flexibility according to the patient’s needs, providing good biomechanical control. With or without extrinsic rearfoot posting for greater hindfoot stability. Forefoot can also be posted for greater functional control. Extrinsic posting is a resilient and semi compressible material for maximum shock absorption and functional control. Black naugahyde top cover and durasole bottom cover is standard. Patient Indications: plantar fasciitis/heel spurs, overpronation, mild osteoarthritis, shin splints, chondromalacia patella, hip pain.

– rigid polyethylene shell incorporating high medial and lateral flanges and deep heel cup for the flexible flat foot. This device maintains a neutral heel and stimulates supination. The high medial flange limits medial subluxation of the talus, and the high lateral flange controls calcaneal eversion. EVA top cover to the met heads is standard. Gait plate – designed to control rotational disorders of the lower extremity. To promote out-toeing, the orthotic shell is extended distally to the fifth phalange. EVA top cover is standard. Contraindications: metatarsus adductus , internal tibial torsion.

– high impact polyethylene shell with extrinsic rearfoot stabilizer; extrinsic forefoot posting can be applied for greater functional control. P-cell fill can be used in the longitudinal arch to provide extra cushioning or greater flexibility of the shell, while still retaining its shape. Black naugahyde top cover and durasole bottom cover is standard; other top cover choices include p-cell, neolon and EVA. Patient indications: all forefoot and rearfoot pathologies, ankle instability, tibial stress syndromes, patellar tracking issues, hip and low back pain, sport related injuries.
