About Varifit LaserMark 3D Scanner
The state of the art LaserMark 3D scanner takes a true three dimensional image of the patient's foot. The image of the plantar surface of the foot is acquired using a white light and infra red laser.
The practitioner can scan the foot in both a semi weight bearing "neutral position" as well as a fully weight bearing "resting calcaneal stance position" for comparison of arch flexibility.
Once the foot scan is obtained, the practitioner fills out the prescription information including the patient's condition and electronically transfers the order to the lab, where the custom foot orthotics are produced to the patient's foot and orthotic prescription specifications.
